Each winter, we are fortunate to be sent on a work trip by Josh's company to a state association convention. It is always to an amazing place with first class amenities, and best of all, WARM SUNNY days! We just returned from Key West where we had a great time, as expected. The weather was flawless hovering around 77 degrees daily with very few clouds. Our resort was really nice...thanks to Josh's travels, we were upgraded to a sweet suite with two bedrooms (one lofted!) and two bathrooms, complete with ocean/pool views! Heading into this trip, I was nervous about Aaron and how he'd be since we would be removing him from an otherwise consistent and predictable schedule. He was amazing...a perfect little trooper and even stuck to his usual napping schedule--even if that meant passing out (literally, see below) in a hammock or stroller!
Here are some highlights:
Here's Aaron enjoying some pool time! He's finally old enough for sunscreen so we slathered it on, covered him up with his super cute pool gear and hit the pool daily! At the final convention event, several attendees approached Aaron saying, "there's the hat baby! We watched him at the pool all week...he was always so happy!" And that, sums it up!
We took the trolley tour of Key West which enabled us to ride in an open air trolley. One of our ventures led us to tour the Hemingway house...all this action led to a sleepy baby!

Wow! Looks like you had a great time! Boy, are we jealous. That nice sunny weather looks fantastic right about now! What a great little traveler Aaron is. Can't wait to see you guys again!
These are great, Stacie! Very nice pictures of the family and, of course, Aaron is adorable as always. Key West is the first stop on the cruise...it looks beautiful!
Also, I was noticing that, at 10 months, Aaron is almost half your height - as evidenced by the picture where you've got him in the BabyBjorn. Just wanted to point that out!
By the way, did you see any of those crazy six-toed cats at Hemingway's house?? I'm glad you guys had a great time. See you soon!
Sara, thanks for calling me out on the height difference between myself and my baby...haha--made Josh laugh too. And YES, we did see the 6-toed cats. I noticed it on the first one we saw before going into the house and commented on it to Josh...only later to read that they are common there!
What awesome pics--looks like you all had a great time!! And what a beautiful family! S, you look fantastic and glowing as a mama!!! My favorite shot of Aaron was of all of you by the pool and he's all smush-faced in Josh's arm! Adorable!! What a little sweetie... Glad you had such a fun getaway! It is so necessary when living through a midwestern winter!
