I have such an appreciation for why most men I know secretly (or not so secretly) hope to someday have a son. Here's the proof...
Every Daddy needs a son...
to "help" with the mowing...
to skip rocks in a creek...
to teach how to use a saw...
and to teach how to use a nail gun...
(while Mommy shouts safety warnings from behind the camera)
to act as an extra pair of hands...
to be reminded that it is okay to sleep with your favorite construction trucks...
to introduce, and share in, the joys of an ice cream cone...
to encourage, support, and promote the capture and containment of gross things...
In addition to Daddies needing sons to do these things, sons need their Daddies to learn these things. As you can see above, there are many things this Mommy would not be doing! This Mommy does, however, infinitely love her son and his Daddy!
