This winter has been one for the record books with multiple large snowstorms and enough super cold days to keep it there between snow storms! After the original igloo melted down down to a small hill, Josh and the big kids set out to build one bigger and better!
Emily and I took advantage of a preschool snow day (following a district 2 hour delay), to work on her valentines. I bought some valentine bookmarks and some valentine craft foam hearts and stickers. We cut a slit in the hearts to hold the bookmark and she set out decorating them...they turned out cute!
This may look like someone is making a mess, but she is actually cleaning up her brother's mess! I think I may have gotten a cleaning buddy! She is a good little helper with picking things up and putting them into baggies/bins! Sweet girl!
Back outside, the igloo, with adult supervision, also doubles as a sledding hill! Aaron and neighbor, Ben, had a blast!
Here are two more of our great neighbors, Ben and Cora, enjoying the snow and igloo also!
Dude, eating snow...
Emily sliding down the backside of the igloo...
Here is the other side...on the left, where Emily is sitting is a second entrance...more of a tunnel. Between the two heights are built in steps to the ground! (see video below) Quite an elaborate igloo...we've had many neighbors stop when passing by to comment! We also met some new neighbors last weekend and when they asked where we lived, we started to explain only to have them say "OH! The house with the igloo! That is awesome!" Haha...making the most of this winter for sure!
Macie isn't quite mobile enough to enjoy the snow, but she makes her own fun inside. Every time, seriously EVERY time, I run the vacuum while she is up she "helps" me by pushing the canister behind me! She LOVES the air in her hair..so funny!
Love these kiddos...making the most of it all!
