Well, true to form, our furnace/air conditioner decided to quit on us as the seasons began to change. And also true to form, Josh was bound and determined to fix it himself with the help of his adorable assistant. Recently, we bought Aaron a power tool set with tools that are really just like Daddy's! Since then, Aaron always dashes to find his drill if Daddy is fixing something. Here, he waits patiently in case Daddy needs his drill to finish the job:
Aaron has been telling us frequently (but not always) when his diaper is dirty. We decided to have a potty seat available to start giving him the idea. He loves to sit on it and has successfully tinkled about 4 drops 2 times! I'm not anticipating an early potty-trained boy, but we want to be prepared!

Duke has, until recently, been given a protected corner of the living room, barricaded from Aaron (and vice versa) by the couches and ottoman. Apparently, below, he was trying to pass through the barricade, but gave up mid-attempt to take a comfy break. Goofy dog...

Just another item from his tool kit...Safety first!
So, Aaron's hair was becoming out-of-control (see first pic above). ...And as the weather has grown less humid, the length and thickness of the back of Aaron's hair had become a bit less "adorable curls" and a bit more "um, boy or girl?" So, Daddy took matters, and scissors, into his own hands and with Mommy helping hold Aaron still amidst her sniffles, Aaron had his first haircut. Not too bad, Daddy! Now's he's such a grown-up little boy!
Fortunately, although the curls in the back are gone, there is still enough hair left for some amazing bedhead!

Daddy is once again nesting for the family. When I was pregnant with Aaron, he replaced all the windows in the house. Now, as our current office will soon be another nursery, we had some remodeling to do of our current guest quarters to accommodate both an office and guest room. I'll post more specifically on the details of Josh's incredible work soon! For now, Daddy and his helper:

Taking a break from the action to get a breath of fresh air, Aaron basked in the sun. That goofy mouth is him grinding his top and bottom teeth (he officially has 4 teeth now!) together...makes us cringe!
Stay tuned...as promised, before/during/after photos of the renovation to come...and maybe a belly pic or two! Happy Fall!
