As I mentioned in Aaron's third birthday post, he wanted a fire truck birthday party. While researching, I called our local fire department...lo and behold, they have a room at the fire station that we could use for free! On top of that, the firemen would give all the kids a tour of the station AND trucks...and yes, let them climb into the trucks. As a mama, I hit the jackpot! And that's what we did...
The "party" room (really just the department meeting room) even had a fireman's pole!
Most of Aaron's cousins made it to the party. Here's Emily loving on Daphne, who is still trying to figure out where she is and why all these people she knows are so far away from her house!
Yep, I made the firetruck cake AGAIN! Thankfully my mom finished the border for me...my hands were cramping!
Each kid was able to do this firetruck craft:
And they all played "Pin the Ladder on the Fire Truck"
Something felt off about lighting candles in a fire station...hmm...
The firefighter who gave us the tour was also named Aaron! It was perfect! Here are both Aarons with one of the fire trucks.
Because he was the birthday boy, he got to climb into the special, antique fire truck!

The "after" party was back at our house where we ate and watched all the kids play together. Here's Emily dribbling (seriously) the soccer ball--she's a natural! I better get her some tap shoes, quick!
