In the Spring of it!

My final catch up post are some highlights of our spring so far (be sure to keep reading as there are two other new posts today!)

First up, Emily's first corn on the cob...who says you need more than two teeth to eat it?

Here Duke takes advantage of the kids being preoccupied in the playhouse as he drinks the water from their water table!

Q: What could make our little boy happier than a fire truck birthday party?

A: a backhoe loader working in his own backyard (well the easement behind our yard anyway!)

Here's Emily taking a break from sweeping the floor...take note, she has pigtails, and yes, VERY sweet little legs!

She later chose a new accessory:

Here are Aaron and Emily sweetly sharing a bowl of crackers. Emily is a cracker addict! She asks for them frequently and often it's what she tells Josh when he gets her up in the morning!

Here is Aaron kneading some homemade play dough--Daddy made this batch with him!

Typically Aaron wants to help Daddy mow. But after a few minutes, he has usually had enough...even with the noise reducing headphones. HOWEVER, this day, he mowed the ENTIRE lawn with Josh, happily! He even got to drive it himself (kinda) around the house a few times!

This year I have been participating in a local MOPS group. It has been a lot of fun getting to meet other moms in the area that have kids in the same range as my own. Today, they had "MOPS Make a Mess Day" in the parking lot at the church. They had tubs full of dirt to play in...

Paint to paint with...

And a tie dying station!

There were also bubbles, sidewalk chalk and a putty (?) making station of some sort!

It seems like the kids had fun and they truly didn't get very messy! Emily had some paint on her and my hands are still stained from putting the shirts into bags after Aaron dyed them...but somehow, he barely showed any sign of the fun he had. Proud of my neat boy!
