Fall is here and we've been enjoying what it brings! This is the first year since we've lived here that we've made it to our local festival parade. Something we love about where we live is our proximity to everything. We put the kids in the jogging stroller and I strapped on my rollerblades while Josh donned his running shoes and off we went! The kids had a great time...Aaron figured out that if you waved to the people throwing candy, they wouldn't forget you!
Daddy standing with the kiddos to honor the (soon-to-pass) flag...
One of the many "goodies" the kids acquired!
Back at home, the leaf raking has begun. Here Daddy takes the leaves, and kids, for a ride to the curb!
Our helper extraordinaire!
Of course, he reaped some benefits from his hard work! I remember the days when playing in the leaves was so much fun!
I have to include this next picture as a reminder of the excitement our little boy brought us after jumping on his bed and splitting his lip open! We were winding down for the night. Emily was in just a diaper ready for her bath. Josh was still 30 minutes from home. Somehow Aaron managed to see-saw over his bed rail (and back) after hitting his mouth on the arm chair next to his bed. Fortunately they were able to just use glue and no stitches were required. Funny thing about kids...they are resilient because as we are changing the blood speckled sheets after coming home from the ER, what was he trying to do? JUMP ON THE BED...oh boy.
Emily was not as sold on the joys of playing in the leaves. We had to physically place her in the pile whereby, we did our best to convince her of the fun that can be had.
Bailey, on the other hand, figured it out...
Here's a preview of Emily's Halloween costume...which is being fabricated by her Mama. It's gonna look homemade, but I hope she knows that it's made with love and good intentions!
Happy Fall!
