Well, on July 3rd, we officially moved into our new house...more on that soon! July 4th took us to the annual festivities at Josh's parents' country club. This year, they added pony rides for the kids...the ponies were tough because it was H-O-T that day! Emily was very excited, but very serious during her ride...
Aaron was extremely reluctant and unwilling to ride...I will admit that I tricked him into it and he still will not admit enjoying it, however, he DID give me a great smile...
He was much more excited to play at the playground. Once the heat subsided a little and our dinner was devoured, we headed outside again to let the kids play.
Lucky for us, Josh's brother and his family made it up again for the fun! Here is this year's version of the same pic from last year of the Orahood girls!
And an attempt at adding the boys...this was the best we could do!
And the annual Orahood running race while waiting for the fireworks! This year, my sister-in-law was also all trained up for a half ironman (!) race she was signed up for just days following the 4th. Because of the heat, they modified the distances, but it was still a very impressive accomplishment..way to go Kari!
Smart Grandma and Aunt...bubbles to entertain the kids while we waited for fireworks!
What a show! It was a fantastic and very impressive show...especially for a private country club to put on! We love this tradition...family, dinner and fireworks all within walking distance of Grandpa and Grandma's house!
See Aaron? He sat with his hands over his ears the entire time...not sure he'll ever grow out of it!:)
Hopefully pics of the new house soon...nothing is done enough for me to want to post, but we're enjoying the space and the community!!
