Halloween 2013

Our Halloween fun started in ballet class!  It was "wear your costume" day and we parents got to sit in during their class to observe!  The kids all looked adorable!

This is our strawberry shortcake with friends Emmy (a witch--her mom made her costume!) and Ana, aka Ladybug Girl!  We have had playdates with both of these girls and Emily really enjoys playing with them and I really enjoy spending time with their Moms!
A jete over a pumpkin...
Plie...
Time for tap!

Later that night, Aaron had gymnastics.  It was his first session with an all boys class.  When he got out of class, his teacher gave him a t-shirt that read "20 Second Headstand Club."  He was so excited and so proud...and so were we!

When we got home, it was pumpkin carving time!  Daddy helped carve while I separated out the seeds for baking...YUM!
As involved as she could be!

Both of the kids told Daddy what shapes they wanted for their jack-o-lantern features!

Some nasty weather on Halloween caused our town and neighborhood to postpone trick-or-treating for a night.  I'm so thankful they did!  The weather turned out to be perfect...felt like fall but not too cold!  Plus, we already had a dinner date scheduled with some friends so it worked out perfectly to trick-or-treat with their kids as well!  Here's our crew before getting started...
Strawberry Shortcake, a flower, and a veterinarian:

This was the trick-or-treat crew plus a couple neighbor friends we met in passing!
Back at home, Macie and Will spent some time getting to know each other.

He pinched her...
So she clawed him...
And they moved on from there!
Cute little pumpkins!
Happy Halloween!
