SF: Muir Woods

While in San Francisco, I had three things I wanted to do (in addition to visiting with family, of course!)...the first was to take the kids to Muir Woods and show them the giant redwoods!


An interesting fact about these trees is that they often grow in "families" sharing root systems and appearing to be in clumps/clusters!
Here is Aaron with some interesting roots! 


You can get a better perspective on the size of the trees when you see us walking among them!

Toward the end of the trail is this tree that you can physically get inside.  After taking the photo, I remembered we had done it once before...





7 years earlier...

Kinda cool!  The first off of my SF trip bucket list was complete!  Numbers 2 and 3 ahead!
