Well, we did it! We took the kids on a cross country flight to San Francisco, California to celebrate the graduation of our nephew, Charlie! The kids were awesome on the flight. We drove 3 hours to Chicago and boarded the 4 hour flight from there. They watched part of a movie, but otherwise occupied themselves with coloring and leap.pad games! Macie was quiet but quite bored...I lost track of how frequently she played with my eyelids! Oh well...silly me! I couldn't expect her to sleep the whole way!
While we settled in and got the house organized, the boys went off to the USS Hornet to take a tour and learn some neat things!
Back at the house, Emily was bored out of her mind...
...just kidding! The house Josh's parents rented for us to all stay in was PERFECT for the kids. The playroom was fully stocked with great toys! There were also scooters, ping pong, and a tire swing out back...
...as well as tons of board games to play! Never a dull moment and we hadn't even ventured into the city yet!
Macie took advantage of her loving grandma and Aunt Jen by leading them out to the tire swing for a push!

We stayed on Alameda so we took an few minutes one afternoon to check out the local "beach." It was newly improved and the kids had fun playing. We struggled with letting them play because it wasn't true beach sand and was therefore getting them dirty. We were on our way to a graduation barbecue...oy! Oh well...got some cute pictures!
