Triathlon, "Trash", and Going to the Lodge

The weekend after we arrived home from the Outer Banks, Josh had his second sprint triathlon and this time, we all made it to cheer him on! Emily started out bright eyed and super talkative as we waited for Daddy to start!
Josh finishing the swim...
...finishing the bike...

Surely Daddy was tired, but sweet Aaron and adorable Emily were pretty tired too. I kept Emily up after her early morning feeding and had to wake Aaron up to get there in time...triathlons wear us all out!
Here's Josh finishing! We're so proud of him and can't wait to cheer him on at the next one!
For some reason, to add to an already crazy month, Duke decide to get sick...the vet's solution was a diet of boiled chicken, rice, and cottage cheese. I think Duke would like to be sick more often! Aaron wanted to help nurse Duke back to health:
Emily absolutely LOVES to play with toys...this day, she couldn't pick just one so she scooted into her toy bin and played with them all!
Emily started eating veggies...we started with peas! Here's the first spoonful:
She quickly decided they were yummy! Judging by the peas in her eyebrow, I think she's going to be a messy eater!
Aaron loves to load up all of his vehicles. It's like a puzzle to him as he works to get as many on his flatbed trailer as possible!
Aaron's favorite things have shifted slightly in favor of garbage trucks or "trash" as he calls it! Josh brillantly realized that there is a plethora of videos of garbage trucks working on youtube (why?!). We are currently using these videos as reward for using the potty. In the last week, I probably only changed 3 poopy diapers! We'll see how it goes...every little step is great with us since he's still pretty young! Here he is with one of the videos:
...and with his garbage truck playing along...

Josh had a meeting for the state organization in Cincy at Great Wolf Lodge! We had a blast and would have loved more time there! Aaron was super brave and conquered all the slides in the munchkin area and even went down a big slide, by our mistake, by himself!
Aaron and Emily both had a great time...see?:)

What a great post! The picture of Emily's first bite of peas is priceless! HA! Yay for Aaron and the potty, too. What a big boy going down waterslides all by himself. We have got to take a family trip to Kalahari or the like. That would be so fun!
