Winter Moments

We put our tree up the weekend after Thanksgiving! That is the earliest we've ever had it up...Christmas is much more exciting with kids! Aaron is already talking about asking Santa for a fire truck. He carefully turns the pages of the toy catalogs we receive in the mail...pointing at things and saying "I want buy that." So I tell him, put it on your list... A motherhood milestone:)

Aunt Kari invited us up to Fort Wayne to attend a Saturday church service followed by "A Night in Bethlehem" where they had appropriately adorned people in tents teaching the kids different crafts like basket and necklace making. Most of it was too advanced for our kids, but they did have some animals to pet. Aaron EXCITEDLY loved on a miniature horse, two sheep, two baby pigs, a chicken (!), bunnies and a momma guinea pig and her two babies. I joke, but am still wondering if they drugged those poor animals?! They were SO docile with sooo many little hands on them with little supervision.

After visiting the animals, Aunt Kari showed us her preschool room where she teaches. The kids LOVED the barn playhouse--here they are inside:

Miss Emily will walk with anything that moves! She has taken a few single steps on her own too!

Another one of her tricks: NO hands!
