Birthday Boy!

Happy 4th Birthday to our sweet, handsome guy!
Let the celebrating begin!  While Daddy made birthday pancakes, Aaron opened a gift from his Aunt and Uncle and cousins!
As the day progressed, there were gifts every couple of hours...what fun for him!
This is the first birthday that has fallen on a Saturday so we had his party that day too!  He picked a construction theme again so, like with the tutus for Emily's party, Mommy got to work making construction vests for his little guests!  They were super easy and turned out cute, especially with the coordinated hard hats!  One of these times, I'm going to force a picture of all the guests together in their gear...for now, here are Emily and Ava, reporting for duty!
ha...

Here is cousin Audrey...eager to join the party!  She was such a sweetie.  She and her family stayed with us that night and she and Aaron had a slumber party in his room.  They were awake until nearly midnight!  They were being good, but just talking and giggling!  She cried the next day because she didn't want to leave...love that sweet girl:)
The youngest worker, Mira, had her own vest and hat too!
Ava is THE party animal in my family...and Emily is happy to join in!  They were dancing around and falling with the balloons...and GIGGLING!  Goofy girls!
We did it...we braved a pinata at a party with a 5 year old, three 4 year olds (well, one who is almost 5), and three 2 year olds!  This was a tough pinata...it was paper mache OVER cardboard...who can break that?!  Josh had to cut it open!  But, it was fun watching them try!  In most of these pictures, you will see adults cringing and grimacing in the background!
Finally, with some help from Daddy and a box cutter, Aaron threw some fatal (almost) blows...look at his effort!  LOVE it!

And more presents...lucky, blessed boy to have people who love him so much that they drive long distances to celebrate AND they bring him gifts that he loves.
A few more pics to come (mostly for our future blog books).  I didn't have the camera ready when the cake action was happening...thankfully, Grammie did!
For now,
Happy 4th Birthday Aaron!
...a little boy who is sweeter and more fun than we could have ever wished for!
