Dusting off the camera...

Well, it's been over a month!  The guilt has gotten the best of me so I dug out the camera and loaded any/all pics I had onto my computer...even the ones from my phone!  I owe it to all of us to get better about pictures again now that life has settled in the new house!

First up, a sandbox fit for the Orahood kids...bigger and better!  The house had a really nice (but worn) playset in the backyard.  Next summer, we plan to revamp and revitalize it, but for now, a new improvised sandbox will have to do!
Bailey FREQUENTLY falls asleep with toys in her mouth...
This is a well timed picture but he has been known to be busted doing somersaults on his bed when he is supposed to be sleeping!
Tutu cute...I never would have imagined producing such a girly girl!
And, drum roll please....
she finally has all her teeth!  YAY!
All the "kids" playing soccer.  Bailey definitely thinks she is one of them.  She chases bubbles with them and lays in bed with all of us when we read before naps/bedtime.  She has come a LONG way from the crazy puppy she was and is evolving into a pretty good family dog!
Aaron is starting soccer soon...we're excited to see how he does this season!
Emily LOVES their playroom.  I loved peeking in and capturing this moment of her coloring on the window seat.
She also loves to paint...

We finally found a chunk of time to spend with family in Ohio.  Thankfully, that usually means extra time with cousin Ava!  She is always up for a good time and both the kids loved playing with her!
Back at home, Emily was apparently having some trouble separating herself from her things at bedtime.  Fortunately, after a nice talk, this hasn't happened again!
Aaron LOVES to vacuum...so much better than a room.ba!
No, they will not ever ride this way on a real motorcycle...
At the end of August, Josh's brother did his second ironman triathlon in Louisville, KY and we all turned up in full yellow force to cheer him on!  As we were waiting to see him on a portion of the run (mile 2 of 26.2!), this turtle and his owner strolled by!  Literally!  Out for a walk, not unlike a dog!  He was a nine year old african tortoise...super cool!
Emily, Livy and Grandpa waiting for Uncle Jim at mile 14...
Aaron was a true cheerleader...he got up with Daddy at 6:15am to see Uncle Jim off at the swim start and didn't crash until about 4:30pm (mile 14)!
Emily is looking more and more like she is going to be an artist, not unlike her Daddy.  This day, she drew a picture, turned it around and said, "look, a ducky!"  Yes, Emily, that sure is!  I was so impressed!
From fine art to the performing arts...I've been looking for a place to sign her up for dance lessons.  She really, truly LOVES to dance.  I need to get a video.  She gets this very serious and introspective look on her face and goes for it...for long periods of time.  It is THE sweetest thing.  SO, I found a studio that accepted kiddos starting at age 2 1/2 and took her in for a trial class.  Sadly, upon arriving we were told that no one else had signed up for the class so they would be cancelling it.  Since we were there, they let her participate with a group of 4/5 year olds and she did great!  She was absolutely glowing when she came out!  Since then, I found another place that I signed her up at...they offer a Mommy and me class at a convenient time and it is a studio that she could dance at in the long term, should SHE choose too:)

I'm not sure if this was a classroom or just an organization exercise...but I'm serious, she LOVES the playroom!
Something that is important to both Josh and I, is stressing the importance of exercise in life.  The kids have put many a mile on their jogging stroller, often with Daddy running and Mommy rollerblading...even earlier in pregnancy!  Aaron was due for some new tennis shoes so when they arrived, he got into the habit of putting on his "running clothes" and running a couple of laps around the cul-de-sac.  It is great to see him want to do that!  He gets sweaty and everything!
Of course we have a "monkey see, monkey do" policy in our home...which would explain Emily running the cul-de-sac with her princess doll.
Someday, this may be cause for embarrassment...for now, it is too sweet!
More to come...

A turtle at an Ironman...how interesting! I bet the kiddos thought that was pretty cool! So glad to finally see little bits of your new home!
