This month is a busy one with something to celebrate every weekend! Last weekend, the first one in May, we headed up to Toledo to celebrate Audrey's 2nd birthday! We had a great time at the park with everyone. Aaron was in heaven with acres to wander and Audrey was in heaven eating her FIRST cupcake EVER and playing on the playground!

(a l ittle while later, a man on a bicycle rode by on the street next to the park shelter where the party was being held...Aaron didn't hesitate to share a friendly wave with him, with no prompting from anyone...it was hilarious!)

(a happy birthday girl!)
Since Ohio is in Josh's territory, we decided to spend some time with my mom while he worked! In addition to just spending some nice, slow (as slow as it gets with an ambulating 1 year old), quality downtime, we also went to the Toledo Zoo. As far as zoos go, it is one of the best, honestly! Aaron enjoyed seeing the animals, but was very kind to point out things Grammie and I were overlooking...such as fence posts and rocks. He was totally excited by the mallard that came right up to him! I kept pulling the stroller back and the duck just kept following without any fear! I have a great video and will post it once I load it into the computer!
At Grammie's, the vacuum was never put back in it's proper place because Aaron is absolutely obsessed with them! What fun when Grammie allowed him to help run it!

(as mentioned above, Aaron has mastered waving...he waves for "hello," "goodbye," "all-done," and at anysituation he feels it's appropriate!)
Aaron and Audrey had a great time playing in Grammie's club house! Audrey is trying so hard to share but Aaron is a little bit, um, intrusive into her space leading her to tell him to go elsewhere, frequently! He has no idea and just goes about his business, only to be in her space time and time again!
Grammie is bound and determined to get an adorable picture of her grandkids together.
This is as good as it gets:
Seconds later his fingers were in her eyeballs and he was pulling on her shirt! Sorry Mae Mae, he'll learn to respect your personal space someday!
Stay tuned..."May Days" Part 2 of 4 is Mother's Day weekend!

It was great spending time this past week. We're sorry about Audrey's difficulty with sharing. Poor guy is going to think his name is "no no Aaron!" I miss that goofy smile already! See you in a couple weeks!
What cuties!! That sharing piece is SO hard for my guys too. If only they wouldn't be so selfish. ;) Thankfully we are seeing the light at the end of a VERY long tunnel! Glad to see you all are having a great time.
Woah, "part 1 of 4"?? Looks who's getting ambitious!!! Glad you had a good visit and happy birthday to Audrey! (That mean's Patrick's second is right around the corner!) Love that shot of Aaron crawling out of the playground!
