The night before Aaron's party, Jess, Jay and the girls came to play and spend the night! The kids had a blast playing outside together. As predicted, Emily and Daphne together in the jeep had us all giggling and shaking our heads!
...meanwhile "Ma and Pa Do-gooder" stuck to the rules of staying on the sidewalk. I'm certain they would wear seat belts if they were available!
And don't forget those third-borns!
Sweet girl...love the leg rolls:)
Just checking to see who is paying attention!
It's party time! Aaron was turning six and decided on an army themed party! Below are his camo jeep cake and cupcakes!
My original plan was to have Josh construct and run an obstacle course for the kids, but as I researched ideas, I came across this inflatable army-themed obstacle course rental and could not resist! It was great for the kids...they were exhausted but had so much fun!
Even Grammie joined in the fun!
For snacks, I kept it to an army camouflage color scheme of green and brown foods, including crackers and artichoke dip, applesauce pouches, green grapes, cucumbers, cashews and pretzels with hummus! Random, but decently balanced!
We invited cousins, a few friends from school and a couple of families we have gotten to know...that was a lot of kids for us at a party!
Cake time!
I think the party was a huge success! The weather was perfect and everyone was exhausted by the end! Happy 6th Birthday (a day early), Aaron!
