Emily finished her first year of ballet! We did a Mommy and Me class last year but there weren't any performances. This year ended with a showcase! She was SOOO excited to dance on a "real" stage and she did awesome! Her teacher performed off the side of the stage and if you look at the rehearsal pictures, you will see her friends looking in that direction, but she performed to the audience and didn't rely on her teacher for the movements! Best of all, she loved it and had a great time!
When I picked her up backstage, she immediately started asking me why she didn't get any flowers because so many other girls got flowers. She talked my ear off about it the whole way out to the lobby...only to be greeted by Daddy and Grammie with bouquets of roses! Needless to say, she was excited and couldn't refrain for smelling them!
